peek to creek

the setting: top of whistler mountain. most beautiful + freezing day of the year. a couple sentimental pics for the scrapbook of our 17+ years of brotherhood, before the 7km long 'peak to creek' last run of the day.

the setup: he mutters under his breath: 'kilt! kilt! kilt!' and gives me the look-over-there-nod. standing boldly behind us are a kilt-wearing scot with two scottish friends. we shoot a couple more pics of ourselves with the glaciers, lake, and black tusk in the background before they ask us to take their picture.

the question response to their question:  'i'll take your picture, as long as i can ask you the only question one ever asks a scot [wearing a kilt]. so....?'

the response to our question response to their question: he shakes his head as a huge smile takes over his face [indicating that he is not in fact wearing anything underneath his plaid kilt].

the finale: we shift the three scots over to the view point. after a couple vista shots, someone yells out 'flip it up!', and in true braveheart form he turns around, flips up his kilt and history was made. the first ever authentic scot mooning at the top of whistler's peak to creek.
