shoes of the week - Tender Tootsies

its been undisputed for many years that I have thee best grandpa in the world. as if that's not enough---he's always had thee most stylin' grandpa slippers to accompany his awesomeness. so just the other day, he takes off his current radd plaid-ish slippers, and for some strange shoe-obsessed moment I happened to glance at the branding of these particular slippers---much to my horror/delight, the brand that makes these rockin' bad boys is dangerously called: Tender Tootsies for Men.

where in the...?
who the...?
in which board room was this decision reached?

you're gonna look me in the eye and tell me that someone [or a group of people] somewhere approved the name: "Tender Tootsies for Men"--for slippers for men?

folks---it just doesn't get any better than this.

"Just in case it flash floods..."

Exactly what my co-worker Aaron said when I asked "Why..."

almost banksey...

Walking past an alley with this on the wall this gorgeous sunny afternoon, this dudes stylish nature of the wife-beater tank and the classic old-man (not sure what the name of it is) hat is looked pretty darn fashionable to me.  Chillin' so real.  Hangin solo waiting for the bros.  So rad.  I also just thought I took a sweet photo and wanted to brag about it a little bit.  So I made an excuse for it and now I am blogging about it.  Thanks for reading.  I hope you enjoy my sweet photo.

there comes a time, when one must say yes...

and Blame it on the rain...and give into the trend...
But at least one has an excuse to wear rainboots, why might one give into these? I'm not sure...yet?

in case you are a Flames fan who happens to be losing to the Canucks as I write this...

THIS post is for you...well and for everyone else, however if you are a hockey (NHL) fan, who is cheering for the Canucks (best in the league currently), they are one goal away from their 10,000 goal and that would put them at a 3-0 win against Calgary Flames....AND back to fashion...this dude was seriously rocking the largest grin and best attitude on the face of the planet. I mean, some broad runs up to him still wearing her New Years eve dress from the night before (however now it's half covered in a worn out hoodie and accompanied by a pair of torn jeans and $20 leather boots) and states she is writing a fashion blog and wants to take his photo - and he still looks this jolly and isn't even laughing too hard at the thought that he could honestly be staring at the Queen of Fashion herself (Well, little did he know it was true).  As well as the contagiously huge grin he was sporting was also a large furry hat and a sweet-ass team Canada jersey with the number of our fabulous Canucks team goalie Mr. Roberto Louongo himself, or as a sports broadcaster once so masculinely put it "Bingo-Bango-Bongo-Roberto-Luongo"!  (In other news, I should probably be cut-off from blogging for a while - but sorry to say - it won't be happening).  OH, PS: Canucks just scored - 3-0 and that was our 10,000 goal in the history of our team...how fashionably timed! Peeeeeeacce - I'm OUT yo!

2011 Polar Dip Beach Fashion Magic.

The shock of the New Year starts out with a trip to the beacth with some friends and thousands of others to watch countless amounts of people jump into the freezing Pacific Ocean to bring in the New Year with a huge grin and no feeling in body parts.  As someone who loves to surf in the cold ocean, I watched in awe at the guts so many had to jump in on this bone-chillingly cold day, I did not partake as I had not yet viewed this occassion before and was unaware of the amount of fun that could be had.  The beach was filled with people in regular stylish outfits to costumes and outfits that were created for this special 2:30pm event.  What a hilarious endeaovour that I thoroughly look forward to being apart of next year.  Cheers to the tights and the undies ladies and the epic grins.  What a fantastic way to ring in the new year.
