the tintin
If you didn't grow up with Hergé's The Adventures of Tintin, then you don't know about the amazingly grouchy and weathered old sea captain [Captain Haddock], the cute and clever crime-solving puppy [Snowy], the accident prone Charlie Chaplin-esque identical twins [Thompson + Thompson], or the most crisp haircut children's comics have ever encountered: Tintin Son!! Now you know. Without Tintin's carefully crafted strawberry-blonde swirl, the doors would never have opened for society to embrace another delicately styled swirl many years later: The Conan, as in Conan O'Brien. But we'll leave discussion of The Conan for another day. For today, lets enjoy the Tintin in all its glory as the phenomenon spreads---even to the little ones.
